Donnie Horner’s life has always been about taking initiative and serving others. Donnie grew up as the son of a retired army officer, and later graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Donnie was stationed as an officer on the USS Bonhomme Richard, and led teams of 35 and 18 sailors respectively.
After his service, Donnie earned an M.B.A. from Jacksonville University, and co-developed a ship-service company, MainOcean Port Services. Donnie served seaports in four states as the Vice President of Business Development for the company.
Donnie is currently employed by Beaver Street Fisheries where he is a national sales representative serving the Sea Best brand. His current book of business includes some of the most well-respected retail grocery chains. They include Publix, Winn Dixie, Weis Market, and Meijer.
Now, Donnie serves our community on several boards, including the River Club, Jacksonville University Alumni Board of Governors, and the Propeller Club. He is also a 2015 graduate of Leadership Jacksonville. Donnie wants to bring his leadership and business experience to the Florida Legislature to help make our government work for us.
